The Monongalia County Humane Society offers a range of resources and information designed to support both animals and pet owners. Even without a physical location, and operated through the efforts of our amazing volunteers, the organization is able to effectively provide resources and education to those in need.
One of the primary services is connecting pet owners with the resources and education they need to care for their animals. This includes providing financial vouchers for spay and neutering services, as well as the contact information for our local, supporting Veterinarian offices. This also includes education on responsible pet ownership to help prevent many common issues that lead to pets being surrendered to shelters.
Another critical service is helping to provide the right solution or contact information for issues or concerns that may arise within our community. We recognize that it may be challenging to understand who to call or where to find help, which is why we work to help connect our community resources.
Additionally, the society connects volunteers to areas of need. Whether it’s fostering animals, helping with administrative tasks, or participating in outreach programs, there are numerous ways for volunteers to get involved.
